Shania Twain's Ex-Secretary Denies Wrecking Marriage 5/22/08

The woman accused of breaking up Shania Twain's marriage is speaking out, insisting she's not the villain.

Marie-Anne Thiebaud, 37, worked as a secretary for the split couple and manages the home in Switzerland that Twain and producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange share.

Reports suggest a romance between Thiebauld and Lange ended the 14-year marriage. But, speaking exclusively to E! News, she says, "When marriages break up, they break up for all sorts of complicated reasons... and those reasons should be kept private.

"If you're looking for a person that broke up a marriage, then you have the wrong person. I'm not that person." Lange confirmed he and Twain had split at the beginning of the week (beg19May08) and he insists a reported affair was not the cause of the break-up.
