Beauty Scarlett Johansson is going back in time again to play historical beauty Lucretia Borgia in a long-awaited film about the famous 15th century family.

The Neil Jordan movie was originally set to go before cameras with Christina Ricci and Ewan McGregor in leading roles, but financial problems crashed the project.

Colin Farrell is slated to replace McGregor as Lucretia's brother Cesare.

The historic epic revolves around Cardinal Rodrigo Borgia's ascent to the papacy in the late 1400s and the family controversies that doomed him.
