Uma Thurman: "My Life Has Been Road Kill"  11/11/05

Actress Uma Thurman is still traumatized by her split from husband Ethan Hawke - because it "derailed" all the plans she had for her life. 

The actress has a new love in her life, hotelier boyfriend Andre Balazs - but admits she struggled to come to terms with her break-up from Hawke in 2003, amid rumors of his infidelity. 

She says, "My life has been sort of road kill, like barely scraping the bodies off the sidewalk. I mean, you wake up after a decade with someone and you're single again and alone again. You thought you had a plan, and the plan got derailed."
