American singer/songwriter Ryan Cabrera has rubbished rumors he is romancing Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly.

The Photo hit maker insists he has been single since his on-off relationship with Ashlee Simpson ended last year (04), and is tired of speculation arising every time he is seen out with a female friend.

He says, "It's sad that you just can't be friends with anybody anymore. If I hang out with someone, it'll be all over the press the next day and everyone's asking, 'Are you dating this person?' I'm like, 'What, you think I date everyone?'

"Unfortunately, people believe it, but you just have to learn to laugh at it.

You know the truth anyway."

However the 23-year-old is not against the idea of a relationship - provided it's with the right girl.

He says, "You never know who you're going to meet. I could be single today and have a girlfriend in two weeks!"
