King Kong's Naomi Watts Slams Remakes  11/14/05

Hollywood beauty Naomi Watts has blasted movie remakes as unoriginal and tired - despite starring in the new version of King Kong.

Watts, who stars as Ann Darrow in the big budget remake of the 1933 gorilla classic, is saddened by the current lack of fresh screenplays in cinemas.

She says, "It's weird there are so many remakes at the moment. There's a great lack of good material and new ideas.

"It's emblematic of our times. We've run out of ideas, which is sinful. We're going to burn out."
