Eva Mendes Regrets Wearing Fur  11/17/05

Actress Eva Mendes has vowed never to wear fur again and blames her ignorance for previous animal skin purchases. The Hitch star was horrified when she learned of the cruelty animals suffer at the hands of unethical furriers and insists she will never sport another animal pelt. And Mendes urges celebrities to consider their role model status when they make fashion choices. 

She says, "I've worn it in the past, but I didn't even think about the message I was sending out, as I didn't understand I was a role model. "It's crazy when you see people in long fur coats."
