SHOW AIRS ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2005

BURBANK, Calif. - November 23, 2005 - In an interview with "Access Hollywood's" Shaun Robinson, actress/singer Lindsay Lohan talks about the childhood friend she lost to meningitis. The interview airs on "Access Hollywood," Wednesday, November 23, 2005 (check local listings for time and station).

Lohan, who made her American Music Awards debut on last night's broadcast said that her performance was the farthest thing from her mind. "I just lost one of my best friends recently," said Lohan of her friend, Caitlin Boyle, who passed away last Wednesday from complications stemming from meningitis.

The teen star added that she and Boyle, who was 19-years-old, were friends long before Lohan's entry into the media spotlight. " I've known her since I was five...I grew up with her and her family."

"Access Hollywood" would like to express the deepest sympathy to Lohan and the entire Boyle family.

"Access Hollywood" is produced by NBC and distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Rob K. Silverstein is the executive producer.
