Shocked
Judd was still weaving from the ouster of Jamie. He felt betrayed but in
his sense of self-importance, he learned that what seems to about to
happen, is not always dependable. He sees himself as a skilled player
whose personal veracity is not to be questioned. But just before the
tribal council vote, his peacock proud statement that he had never lied
was exploded by Gary's witnessing. And that, my friends was Gary's
final statement before his own torch was snuffed out. Nonetheless, you
have to give him a gold star for effort. The old quarterback Gary tried to
gather forces to keep himself in play for a few more quarters, but his
strategy failed. I guess that we could say that his last Hail Mary pass
was intercepted. Game over. Adios, Gary.
And
then there is Lydia the Famished. Tired of fish, corn and nut soup, she
somehow believed it was her turn for a challenge win. In her thinking, she
was "due" a victory., Not that she would actually earn it by
beating out the others, but simply because it was her time. Well Lydia,
wishful thinking is often erroneous thinking and you are a mistress of
that "logic."
Touchy
feely Rafe along with zoo keeper Cindy were pampered with massage, drinks,
shrimp and beef tenders while swimming about in a natural waterfalls hot
springs. Now
that is the way to enjoy the jungle.
Did
you notice the Four Temple Deities? Yes, we have a definitive priestly
caste consisting of Stephanie the Mean Spirited, Rafe the Charming
Warrior, Cindy the Golden Beauty, and Judd the Brute. These high priests
were perched upon their temple throne gazing down upon the chattel below.
Picking and choosing which sheep would be the next sacrifice. Yes,
The Four Priests are indeed the power.
But
there was power long before these four. Survivor host Jeff shared the
Mayan story of the beginning. From that ancient narrative the Mayan
knew all about jealousies, nurturing, love, betrayal, and banishment. And
that sounds very much like Survivor. Doesn't
it?
Tikal
