Kevin Federline Regrets Timing of Relationship With Britney Spears  11/1/06

Kevin Federline insists he wasn't planning on falling in love when he met his current wife Britney Spears, because he was expecting his second child with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson.

Spears and Federline met at a Hollywood nightclub in April 2004 and immediately became a couple - while Moesha actress Jackson was six months pregnant.

Federline admits the timing was less than ideal, telling USA Today, "I'm not going to say that I planned on falling in love with my wife when my ex-girlfriend was pregnant."

The 28-year-old says falling in love with Spears was unexpected, but being a young father was always part of the plan.

He says, "I knew for sure that I'd have one or two children by now. I didn't think I'd have four children, but I love being a young dad with a big family."

Federline has two children with Jackson, daughter Kori, four; and son Kaleb, two; and two children with Spears, Sean Preston, one; and Jayden James, seven weeks old.
