Tolkien
House Up for Sale 11/6/06
Fans of Lord of the Rings can now get closer to the trilogy's acclaimed
writer JRR Tolkien by snapping up his #1 million ($1.8 million) bungalow.
The three-bedroom home in Dorset, England, accommodated the literary
great during his retirement from 1968 until the death of his wife Edith in
1971.
He died in Bournemouth two years later (73) aged 81.
Estate agent Richard Farnes says, "It really is quite
awe-inspiring to think that Tolkien once lived here and we would
anticipate a high degree of interest being shown by his fans."
