Britney Spears Reveals New Look on David Letterman Show  11/8/06

Britney Spears stunned US talk show host David Letterman last night (06NOV06) when she made her first post-pregnancy public appearance since giving birth to second son Jayden James Federline.

The Toxic singer sported a chic blonde bob and wore a short black dress that showed off her newly svelte shape since she welcomed Jayden James on 12 September (06).

Spears surprised the host by walking onstage behind him as he was sitting at his desk.

"Oh, my god," Letterman exclaimed as he stood up to shake her hand and kiss her on the cheek.

The Late Show host then welcomed her saying, "Hi, how are you? Nice to see you. Oh, you look wonderful."

Spears said, "Thank you so much. I'm in town, and I'm just such a huge fan. I had to stop by."

To which Letterman replied, "That means so much to me."

Spears then explained, "Um, no, I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about Will Ferrell."

A flustered Letterman then quickly directed her the whereabouts of his guest for the evening, saying he was waiting in the show's green room.
