MTV Announces New Series Twentyfourseven to Premiere December 6  11/9/06

Santa Monica, CA (November 9, 2006) Beginning Wednesday, December 6th at 10:30pm ET/PT, MTV introduces Twentyfourseven, -- the story of seven friends, each with their own dream, working 24 hours a day, for one goal -- to make it big in the toughest town of all, Hollywood, CA. The entrepreneur, the rock star, the actor, the filmmaker, the club promoter, the record producer, and the musician each episode of Twentyfourseven chronicles this real-life group of friends to reveal their true ambitions, strengths, and faults. However, pitfalls lie along the way, and only they will be able to prove if the strength of seven is greater than one.

Together, Greg, Chris, Frankie, Cipes, Ty, Matt, and Whitman are the stars of MTVs Twentyfourseven.:

Greg- The Entrepreneur

This ambitious business prodigy has already taken major steps toward conquering Hollywood. Hes produced a feature film, launched a line of energy drinks, partnered in club openings, and started a production company. Greg is determined to launch his family and friends into super-stardom, even though the boys, especially his brother Chris, dont always make it easy.

Chris- The Rock Star

The lead singer of The Prom Kings is a lot more interested in hot women and hard living than he is in making it big, at least for now. Lucky for Chris, his little brother Greg has his back and with a little of Chriss help, The Prom Kings has been featured in Rolling Stone and Billboard. If he can follow his brother's lead and stay out of trouble, Chris's future is as good as gold, and maybe even platinum.

Frankie- The Club Promoter

In less than two years in town, Tijuana native Frankie Delgado has taken the Hollywood party circuit by storm. Now a big name club promoter, Frankie has joined forces with Greg Carney to take his parties to the next level. Known to roll around town with the ladies, especially when its time to pack a club, Frankie always lets his crew dip into his star-studded Rolodex.

Cipes- The Musician

The spiritual surfer known by his last name, floats through his days on good vibes. His cartoon voice, free-loving nature, and laidback sense of humor have given him a lucrative career in voiceovers and acting, but hes looking to make it with his reggae band, Cipes And The People. He's also a hit among the Venice Beach localseverybody knows his name. If producer Greg Whitman has anything to say about it, Cipes will turn out to be much more than comic relief for the group.

Ty- The Filmmaker

This writer, director, and star of the independent film "Miles From Home" is doing everything to break into Hollywood. He's given up his car, moved in with his parents, and memorized a whole slew of bus schedules so hes chasing his dream via public transportation. If the support of his friends and family is any indication of his talent, Ty won't be stuck at the bus stop for long.

Matt- The Actor

Since giving up his vices, including sex, this actor has started to rake in the roles. Already in American Pie 4, and with more serious roles as his goal, the budding star is hungry to make his mark on Hollywood. With his lifelong friends the Carney brothers by his side, Matts success is only a matter of time.

Whitman- The Record Producer

Greg Carney's best friend, roommate and business partner is a talented multi-instrumentalist, a self-taught sound engineer and a passionate music fan. When he's not helping Greg keep The Prom Kings on track, Whitman produces music for Cipes. His only dilemmafinding a quality girl in Hollywood.

Fans can download the premiere episode of Twentyfourseven on iTunes for free on December 6th. Then, throughout the season, iTunes will make available each episode the day after it airs. On iFilm, fans will be able to relive the premiere episode of Twentyfourseven beginning December 7th, plus watch the shows trailer and experience MTV.coms aftershow content following each episodes airing throughout the season.

MTV.com (twentyfourseven.mtv.com) will be the comprehensive online source for Twentyfourseven starting November 8th when fans can watch the show trailer and get information about the cast. On December 2nd, fans can watch the entire first act of the shows premiere episode. Then during the season, MTV.com will be home to exclusive aftershow programming entitled After Hours. This includes an inside look at the guys balance of friendship and fame, plus explore LA, dive inside Cipes music, and experience the scenes that never made it to air. MTV Mobile will also give fans on the go a chance to experience Twentyfourseven including cast profiles, cast commentary, and MTV.com aftershow segments. In addition, fans will be able to download Twentyfourseven ringtones and wallpaper at the MTV Mobile boutique at mobile.mtv.com.

Also, MTV has teamed up with Helio to present the Living It Twentyfourseven Challenge, where groups of friends will face off each week to prove how closely their lives emulate the cast of Twentyfourseven. The parties, the clubs, the non-stop commotion, each group of contestants will face a challenge each week to see who is truly living it 24/7. To become a contestant, MTV fans will submit their photos and explanations of why they live it 24/7 to helio.mtv.com. MTV will then select six groups of contestants who will compete over the course of the season. Throughout, they will record their experiences using Helio devices, and place them online for fans to watch and to vote for their favorite. Each week, the group with the fewest votes will be eliminated. The ultimate winners of the challenge will get to come to MTV and Helios Twentyfourseven finale party to host the MTV Overdrive finale show for Twentyfourseven.

Making the excitement even more inclusive, Twentyfourseven fans will also be able to register on helio.mtv.com to enter the Living It Twentyfourseven Sweepstakes. The winner and six friends will be flown to Los Angeles to attend MTV and Helios Twentyfourseven finale party, where they will meet the cast of the show and the winners of the Living It Twentyfourseven Challenge.
