Kevin Federline Responds to Britney Spears Divorce  11/9/06

Kevin Federline wasted no time in responding to his estranged wife Britney Spears' divorce plans by filing his own papers in Los Angeles yesterday (08NOV06).

Just a day after news broke of Spears' divorce plans, which she filed in Los Angeles on Monday (06NOV06), Federline's attorney Mark Kaplan filed the rapper's response.

According to the documents, Federline is asking for legal and physical custody of the couple's children, Sean Preston and Jayden James. He is asking the authorities to award Spears visitation rights.

The custody battle is set to be the fiery aspect of the divorce - in her petition, Spears asked for sole physical and legal custody of the kids.

Federline is also asking the court to award him spousal support.
