"The Curse of the Ninth" - Melinda must help a former rock star who appears to be terrorized by his father's ghost who wanted his son to be a classical musician, on a rebroadcast of GHOST WHISPERER, Friday, Dec. 28 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. (Originally broadcast 11/17/06; previously scheduled for an earlier date)

Jay Mohr returns in the recurring role of Professor Rick Payne. J.C. Chasez ('N Sync) guest stars as one of Brandon's former band mates.

Though it initially seems that it's Brandon's father's ghost who is terrorizing his son, Melinda discovers that Brandon's father has a ghost of his own, Jared, Brandon's deceased former bandmate. Jared was jealous of Brandon's talent and now Melinda must find a way to quiet Jared's fury so that his father can give Brandon the encouragement he needs to return to his music.
