I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here Producers Say David Gest Isn't Ready  11/13/06

Producers of reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! claim contestant DAVID GEST is not at all prepared for his time in the Australian jungle.

The show's organizers say Gest, estranged husband of Liza Minnelli, has never once watched the show, and has no idea what he will have to deal with.

Executive producer Beth Hart says, "He told us he hasn't seen I'm A Celebrity. We've told him he'll be living in a rainforest, sleeping in a sleeping bag and eating rice and beans.

"We've told him quite a few times now and we're still not completely sure it's sunk in."

Gest has reportedly angered his jungle co-stars already, by making superior demands and refusing to take part in the required trials.

After refusing to take off his sunglasses except for while swimming, Hart claims Gest will now be allowed to keep them.

She explains, "I think they are prescription glasses and, if so, they won't be his luxury item. He'd be blundering around otherwise."

The sixth series of the reality show will see 10 British-known celebrities battle it out to become king or queen of the jungle.

Other contestants include Australian actor and singer Jason Donovan and British Prime Minister Tony Blair's sister-in-law Lauren Booth.
