Reese Witherspoon: "We Neglected Each Other"  11/16/06

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe split because of the pressures of balancing their careers and family responsibilities, according to the actress.

The pair split in October (06) after seven years of marriage. They have two children, AVA Elizabeth seven, and three-year-old Deacon.

Witherspoon doesn't blame the actor - but hints they both neglected each other.

She says, "Love is a beautiful thing. But you've got 50 things that come during the day, like driving the kids to school, picking up the in-laws at the airport and working on a script when one of the kids has a high fever."
