Gordon Ramsay Opens New Restaurant in New York City  11/17/06

Hell's Kitchen celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay last night opened his first restaurant in New York City.

The new restaurant, called Gordon Ramsay at The London, features a French-influenced menu and is located inside the London NYC Hotel in Midtown.

The restaurant, which boasts a casual and a formal dining area, is Ramsay's biggest and most expensive gamble to date.

The fiery chef confirms, "The biggest. The till has to start working. New York is an expensive place to survive."

The Michelin-starred chef has a total of 10 restaurants in his culinary empire, including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London.

Reservations for the new restaurant in New York were booked solid for two months before it even opened.
