Simon Cowell Outbids Sharon Osbourne on Live TV  11/22/06

Simon Cowell outbid his The X Factor co-judge Sharon Osbourne live on British TV yesterday (21NOV06) when he pledged #25,000 ($45,000) to charity.

Cowell was a guest on ITV show This Morning when Osbourne phoned presenter Phillip Schofield and donated #10,000 ($18,000) to the program's appeal to raise funds for the UK's hospices.

She said, "I want to donate #5,000 from me and Ozzy wants to give you #5,000 too."

And in the spirit of his on-screen rivalry with Osbourne, Cowell immediately trumped her, saying, "I want to help your appeal too - how much did Sharon give? Well, I'll give 25 grand - deal?"
