Gotti Teen Arrested on Drug Charges  11/28/06

Growing Up Gotti reality TV star Frank Agnello has been arrested and charged with drug possession in New York.

Agnello, who was better known as Frank Gotti on the popular television series, was pulled over by Suffolk police in Dix Hills, New York earlier this month (NOV06) and arrested on drug charges.

According to police and court records, the 16-year-old was driving two friends in his 2006 Chrysler Pacifica when he was pulled over for a traffic stop at 8pm on 10 November (06).

Authorities allegedly discovered several OxyContin pills, a prescription pain killer that is also used as a recreational drug, inside the car that none of the teens would claim.

All three teens were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and Agnello and another teen were also charged with criminal possession of marijuana.

Agnello was ticketed and is scheduled to be arraigned in Suffolk County Criminal Court in January (07).

His attorney, W Adam Mandelbaum, said Agnello would enter a not guilty plea, telling New York Newsday, "There were no drugs found on his person."

Agnello is the grandson of famed mobster John Gotti. The TV series followed him, his two brothers and single mother Victoria from 2004 to 2005.
