Anna Nicole Smith Too Upset to Celebrate Her Birthday  11/29/06

Anna Nicole Smith will not be making merry as she celebrates her 39th birthday in the Bahamas yesterday (28NOV06) - she's still stunned by the death of her son Daniel.

Speaking exclusively to US news show The Insider, the former model reveals she had a miserable Thanksgiving weekend (ends26NOV06) because her son wasn't by her side.

She says, "I'm very depressed. I'm a mess. I'm going to be a mess forever.

"We didn't do anything for Thanksgiving because every year he'd (Daniel) say, 'Mom, are you going to cook my candied yams and mushrooms?' I didn't hear that this year. I didn't hear, 'Mom, are you going to cook them?'"

The new mum, who gave birth to baby Dannielynn in September (06) three days before her son died in her hospital room aged 20, broke down during the weekend interview, explaining she couldn't muster the strength to celebrate anything.
