Madonna Writes Thanking Geldof for Adoption 12/1/06

Pop superstar Madonna has written a letter to Sir Bob Geldof thanking him for inspiring her to adopt Malawian baby David Banda.

The Material Girl chatted to Geldof about the plight of Malawi at the London leg of Live 8 last year (05).

And she attributes her decision to travel to the African country to poverty campaigner Geldof.

An insider tells British newspaper The Sun, "She feels that she is forever in Sir Bob's debt for having introduced her to the country where she eventually met her beloved son."
