Celine Dion Refuses to Drink Alcohol  11/2/07 

 

Celine Dion has vowed never to drink alcohol - because she is terrified she could fall victim to an addiction.

The Power of Love singer - who has credited her marriage to her manager Rene Angelil, 65, for keeping her away from the party scene - says cases of alcoholism in her family have put her off booze.

She says, "I don't drink because, if I am honest, I am terrified of alcohol.

Within my family there have been problems with addiction and it scares me to think that if I got drunk, I could get hooked."
