Australian pop star Kylie Minogue is taking on MySpace and launching her
own social networking website.
The pioneering singer, 39, wants her millions of fans around the world
to chat to each other using their own profiles on her own separate network
- KylieKonnect.com.
Users of the new site will be able to contact the star via her own
profile, as well as read her blog, look at photos of her, watch exclusive
behind-the-scenes video footage and download her songs.
The website is expected to launch this week (begs05Nov07) following the
online release of her new single, 2 Hearts.
A source close to the project told British newspaper the News of the
World, "This is a very big move for Kylie, as no other pop star has
ever tried anything like this before. It will make her an instant
entrepreneur - and shows the way the music industry is heading."
