An ex-boyfriend of late model/actress Anna Nicole Smith is seeking a slice of her inheritance - despite serving a jail sentence for an attack on her.

Mark Hatten, who is serving a six-year sentence for making criminal threats against Smith, filed his claim at Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday (31Oct07).

Hatten also reveals he is writing an explosive new book on the life of the model, entitled "Hollywood Bad Boy: Sex, Drugs, and Anna Nicole."

He dated Smith in 2000 but was later found guilty of threatening her with a knife and assaulting one of her neighbors. However, he was later acquitted of stalking her.

Smith, 39, died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in Florida earlier this year (Feb07).
