Alicia Keys Desperate to Branch Out From Singing R&B 11/6/07
R&B superstar Alicia Keys is desperate to branch out from her singing
career - by scoring the soundtrack to a film.
The Fallin' hit maker - who composed the song Fight for Will Smith's biopic Ali in 2001 - insists she has no desire to release a fragrance or clothing line, and instead has her eye on musical endeavors like composing film score. She says, "I am dying to do some scoring. When the right thing comes along, I'll do that for film and theatre. I don't like to do what everybody else does. "It has to be something I can do with a twist, something special. If it's something average, I don't want to do it."
