TV star Duane 'Dog' Chapman forgives his son for selling a tape of a
controversial conversation to a U.S. tabloid for cash.
The star of reality TV show Dog, The Bounty Hunter was heard referring
to his son Tucker's Latino girlfriend as a "whore" and a
"n**ger" on the tape, which landed in the hands of editors at
the National Enquirer.
But Chapman insists he had his son's best interests in mind while
making the comments and forgives him for selling the tape to the
publication for $15,000.
He says, "I heard this girl was maybe not being the best for
Tucker - and I'll leave it like that - so I tried to interfere.
"I don't care if she is black at all. All I want him to know is
that I love him very much."
Chapman issued an apology for the racial slur on Thursday (01Nov07)
after bosses at A&E television suspended production on his reality
series.
