Cate Blanchett Prefers U.K. to Hollywood 11/12/07
Actress Cate Blanchett prefers living in the English seaside town of
Brighton than the glamorous neighborhoods of Los Angeles - because she
gets less hassle from the paparazzi.
The pregnant 38-year-old is due to move back to her native Australia to take on the role as director at the Sydney Theatre Company, but admits she tries to spend as much time as possible at her home on the British coast. She says, "I love the sea. I get out and walk when I can and I find I'm not bothered much either. "I like to shop and eat in the nooks and crannies of the Lanes and feel I'm allowed to be free there."
