THE NINTH AND FINAL COUPLE TO BE ELIMINATED BEFORE THE FINALS OF THE
COMPETITION IS REVEALED, ON ABC'S "DANCING WITH THE STARS THE RESULTS
SHOW"
Avril Lavigne Performs "Episode 509A" - Multi platinum
singer/songwriter Avril Lavigne takes to the "Dancing" stage,
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 20 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET), performing her third single,
"Hot," from her most recent album, The Best Damn Thing. In a
special performance, Lavigne will also sing her chart-topping single,
"Complicated," from her debut album, Let Go, as this season's
hottest couple, The Cheetah Girls' Sabrina Bryan and partner Mark Ballas
dance. Lavigne's North American tour begins next year.
Stars of Dance presented by Macy's will feature world-renowned dancer
and choreographer, Michael Flatley, best known for creating, producing and
directing "Lord of the Dance." During his career, Flatley has
danced for over 50 million people in over 40 different countries.
Plus, "Dancing with the Stars" Season Two alumnus Kenny Mayne
is back with another hilarious segment.
By evening's end, the couple with the lowest composite score will be
eliminated, as determined by a combination of the judges' scores and
viewers' votes. Who among the following four teams will be heading into
the finals?
* Melanie Brown ("Mel B." a.k.a. "Scary Spice" of
the Spice Girls) and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy
* Helio Castroneves (two-time Indianapolis 500 champion) and partner,
last season's champion, Julianne Hough
* Jennie Garth (actress and former star of "Beverly Hills
90210") and partner Derek Hough
* Marie Osmond (actress, performer and entrepreneur) and partner
Jonathan Roberts
Viewers may cast their votes for their favorite teams via phone on
Monday nights during and up to thirty minutes after the "Dancing with
the Stars" performance shows. AT&T subscribers may also text
message their votes by texting the word "VOTE" and entering the
four-digit number that corresponds to the team they want to support
(standard text message rates apply). They may also vote online at
www.abc.com at the end of each performance show until 12:00 Noon, ET the
following day.
Hosted by Tom Bergeron ("America's Funniest Home Videos") and
Samantha Harris ("E! Entertainment"), "Dancing with the
Stars" is the U.S. version of the international smash hit series,
"Strictly Come Dancing." This version is produced in America by
BBC Productions. Conrad Green serves as executive producer and Rob Wade
and Matilda Zoltowski are co-executive producers. Alex Rudzinski directs.
"Dancing with the Stars" is broadcast in 720 Progressive
(720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound and
Spanish audio via SAP. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to
airdate.
This episode of "Dancing with the Stars the Results Show"
will be available on ABC.com the day after airing on the network for users
