The competition narrowed last night on THE NEXT GREAT AMERICAN BAND as
Franklin Bridge received the fewest votes after last week’s Top 8 performance
show, and was eliminated from the competition. Franklin Bridge is a rock/funk
band from Philadelphia, PA. The remaining Top 7 bands each performed a Leiber
and Stoller song on tonight’s show.
Next week, one more band will be eliminated based on tonight’s voting
results, and the Top 6 bands will perform a song written by Mick Jagger and
Keith Richards in front of a live studio audience on THE NEXT GREAT AMERICAN
BAND Friday, Nov. 23 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are members of legendary band The Rolling
Stones, and have been a songwriting team for more than 40 years. Their writing
partnership began with the song "As Tears Go By" and their first
co-writing project released as a single by The Rolling Stones was “Tell Me
(You’re Coming Back).” Jagger and Richards have collaborated on almost 100
songs.
