Helio Castroneves Splits With Fiancée  11/29/07

Dancing With the Stars champion Helio Castroneves has split from his fiancée Aliette Vazquez after she broke off their engagement.

Racing driver Castroneves had been dating the business executive for more than six years, and proposed to her last year (06).

But on Wednesday (28Nov07), Vazquez revealed the couple had split - less than 24 hours after Castroneves was crowned king of the dance floor (27Nov07).

Her representative, Howard Bragman, tells TMZ, "There have been a lot of rumors and a lot of misinformation out there.

"(She) wanted to set the record straight. This is a personal decision and I ask the media to respect the privacy of Miss Vazquez and her family. She has no plans to talk to the media, but reserves that right if she needs to clarify misinformation or defend her reputation."
