Pink Takes European Number One With Funhouse 11/3/08

Pop punk Pink has landed atop the U.K. albums chart with her new LP Funhouse.

The singer's fifth release debuted at number one ahead of British rockers Snow Patrol, who entered at two with A Hundred Million Suns. The new one-two knocked AC/DC from pole position; Black Ice falls two spots to third place. Kings of Leon's Only By The Night slips one place to number four, while Celine Dion is another new entry at five with My Love - The Essential Collection.

Meanwhile, in the U.K. singles chart, reality show contestants The X Factor Finalists have scored a number one with their charity cover of Mariah Carey's Hero, while British girlband Girls Aloud are at two with The Promise, and Pink remains in the top three with So What.
