Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos turns to Hollywood to inspire his distinctive style, and suave movie star Robert DeNiro is his top fashion icon. The Scottish star loves De Niro's sharp suits, and insists the actor's snappy dress sense oozes dangerous sex appeal.

He says, "I've always loved that sharp look. It's the whole Robert DeNiro Mean Streets style, sharp and dressed up. "It always struck me as being more dangerous than the Marlon Brando, leather jacket type."
