Jenny McCarthy Having a Tough Time Dating  10/7/05

Blonde beauty Jenny McCarthy is having a tough time dating in Los Angeles, because the men in the city are far too vain for her liking.

In August (05), the former Playboy Playmate filed for divorce from film-maker John Mallory Asher after almost six years of marriage, and she now finds getting back into the dating scene a lot more difficult that she thought.

She says, "It's scary. I look out in LA and see what's out there and go to parties and you're like, 'Oh my God, these men have more make-up on than me. They have more hair gel on their hair than me!' "I'm taking it very slow, I'll say that."

McCarthy is also taking things slowly to protect her three-year-old son EVAN.

She adds, "I won't let anybody in my house for a while. He's my first priority."
