Russell Simmons Touts "Functional" Reality Show  10/12/05

Rap mogul Russell Simmons has a major selling point for his brother Reverend Run's new reality show Run's House - it's about a functional family.

Drawing direct comparison to expletive-laden MTV hit The Osbournes, Simmons, who produces the new show with Sean 'Dissy' Combs, believes that it should be a refreshing change for viewers used to seeing warring families.

He says, "What's good about (the show) for the human family or the hip-hop family, whatever family it is, is that it's a functional family, a functional reality show. I mean, there's dysfunction next door because my family's next door!"
