British actor Orlando Bloom believes he's quite an appropriate choice for the period films he's starred in, because he can barely operate today's modern gadgets. 

The Lord of the Rings star's movie roles have rarely seen him portraying contemporary characters, and he admits that he feels he has something in common with the men of eras past. 

He says, "I'm completely techno useless. I don't have a computer, I don't have email, and I can barely use a phone. I'm sort of pretty bad with them. I sort of feel like (you could) throw me back a few hundred years..."
