Kylie Minogue Seeks Holistic Cancer Treatment  10/21/05

Ailing pop star Kylie Minogue is to undergo holistic treatment from a London doctor-to-the-stars in her bid to beat cancer.

The actress, who has already had chemotherapy since being diagnosed with breast cancer in May (05), is turning to holistic medicine specialist Dr Nishi Josho, whose previous clients include Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett, Ralph Fiennes and Kate Moss.

His treatment involves acupuncture and cupping - where a heated cup is applied to the body to draw out toxins.

A friend tells London newspaper the Evening Standard, "Kylie is hugely impressed with what Nishi has been telling her, but feels she needs to see him to get the best out of his treatment.

"She's feeling very weak and vulnerable at the moment, but as soon as she feels able to, she'll travel over to London to see Dr Joshi. Kylie is certain that he has an enormous amount to contribute to her beating the illness, which is exactly what she's going to do."

Joshi refused to confirm Minogue is a patient, but admitted his treatment is well suited to those who have undergone punishing chemotherapy: "I work with a lot of cancer patients. My aim is to combat the effects of both the cancer and the chemotherapy treatment."
