Lord of the Rings Star Surprised by Fans  10/21/05

Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen is shocked by how far autograph-hunters will go to snag movie memorabilia - one even tracked him down to a remote spa in Iceland.

The actor is happy to please fans but remains bewildered by their bizarre requests.

He says, "We visited this hot spring in a remote place. It's all misty. I'm sitting there, drowsing, leaning against a wall. All of a sudden somebody taps me on the shoulder with a damp piece of paper and a pen. I was like, isn't this weird?"
