Nicolette Sheridan Prays for Reality TV's Demise  10/31/05

Sexy actress Nicollette Sheridan hopes the success of her show Desperate Housewives will finally spell the end of reality TV.

The British-born beauty and her co-stars have enjoyed phenomenal success with the drama since it debuted last year (04), and Sheridan has high hopes that scripted TV will make a strong return as a result.

She tells Maxim magazine, "I've never known of any show that's taken off like this one. Before the pilot aired, there was buzz about the show as if it had already been on for six months. It was bizarre. Unlike anything I had ever heard of before. It's amazing how people related to these characters.

"People were yearning for something they could easily sink their teeth into.

Hopefully, this will be it for reality TV. I think it is going to open the way for more shows of this nature. Whenever there's something at this level, people jump on the wagon and try to re-create it."
