Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz Remain Friends  10/31/05

Former lovers Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz remain great friends - despite his new found happiness with Batman Begins star Katie Holmes.

Cruz, who dated the War of the Worlds star for three years insists she is thrilled for the actor and his pregnant fiancée.

She says, "I talked to him and he's so happy and it's somebody that I love very much and is a great friend of mine and forever will be and I'm really really happy for them."

Cruz has been dating Sahara co-star hunk Matthew McConaughey since last year (04).
