Kate Beckinsale Slams "Shallow" Surgery  10/2/06

Hollywood beauty Kate Beckinsale has ruled out ever undergoing plastic surgery, branding cosmetic procedures "shallow".

The actress was recently forced to age her body in make-up for new movie Click, and admits she hated the extra wrinkles and sagging skin.

Despite her horror however, Beckinsale insists advancing years are no excuse for surgery.

She says, "It was really hard sitting in make-up for six hours and then end up looking worse that you are in real life. I hated looking old.

"Nothing bothers me except the connotations of being a person who would have plastic surgery. That implies a kind of shallowness and thoughtlessness I don't feel applies to me."
