10/2/06
Canada's
Suzie McNeil, the last woman standing on 2005's "Rockstar:
INXS," has a full album in the can, produced by Marti Frederiksen
(Aerosmith, Faith Hill, Pink, Mick Jagger), and A&R’d by music guru
John Kalodner (Foreigner, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins,AC/DC) .
The
song, "Believe," currently the promotional theme for the NBC
weight-loss reality show, "The Biggest Loser," is now available
on iTunes, but the first official single from her album will be a more
youthful, Kelly Clarkson-styled song called "Hung Up."
McNeil
appears singing duets on Clay Aiken's new album, "A Thousand
Different Ways," on the cover of Foreigner's "I Want To Know
What Love Is", as well as “God’s Top Ten” on INXS’ 2005
release, “Switch” This summer McNeil was asked to join Pink's band as
a back-up singer for her North American tour. Frederiksen has writing
credit on almost all the songs, a few of which are with hitmaker Kara
DioGuardi (Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Pussycat Dolls, Bo Bice,
Santana); as well as McNeil, who has co-writes on about half.
