Travis Barker May Have Tumor 10/6/06

Former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker has unknowingly suffered from a broken arm for the past three weeks and may have a tumor in his arm.

The star has been forced to cancel upcoming shows with his new band +44 and is devastated that his painful condition could potentially be serious.

Barker's record company released a statement on Wednesday (04OCT06) saying the rocker had broken his arm during the band's recent music video shoot and that he would be recovering for eight weeks.

Barker posted a message on his official MySpace.com webpage on Thursday (05OCT06) saying, "So as of now I won't be playing on Saturday with (DJ) AM or any of the upcoming +44 shows.

"I had the worst pain in my arm the day after we filmed our video and I really thought nothing of it. We played for eight hours like I usually do but I guess this time was different.

"I then played our entire European leg of our promo tour in the worst pain I've experienced ever. I got x-rays in London by an urgent care doctor that said he couldn't determine what exactly had happened.

"When I got back to LA I saw another doctor and had every test possible to see what was going on in my arm.

"The MRI/x-ray showed I had been playing with a broken arm for 3 weeks and or a possible tumour in my arm. I'm at a loss for words, just taking everything one day at a time."
