Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Thank India  10/10/06

Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have thanked the people of Pune, India for their rapturous reception.

The couple and their three children arrived in the city last week (ends06OCT06) to film scenes for A Might Heart, which stars Jolie as Mariane Pearl - the widow of US journalist Daniel Pearl, who was murdered by Islamic extremists in Pakistan four years ago (02).

Pitt is producing the movie through his film company Plan B.

Jolie tells America's People magazine, "We deeply appreciate the warm welcome we have received from the people of Pune, India, where we are filming A Mighty Heart.

"We are excited to have this chance for our children to learn about India's wonderful culture and history."

On Sunday (08OCT06), Jolie expressed her regrets they couldn't film the movie in Pakistan because of security concerns, saying, "I am disappointed that we could not shoot the film in Pakistan, a country that I love and have visited three times. We look forward to visiting Pakistan soon."
