Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie to Star in 5th Season of The Simple Life  10/10/06

Reconciled socialites Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have signed up to star side-by-side in the fifth series of The Simple Life.

The pair fell out after Richie reportedly screened Hilton's infamous sex tape during a party at her house in early 2005, and filmed the fourth season of the hit reality show separately.

But they have patched up their friendship and enjoyed a meal together at Dan Tana's Steakhouse in Los Angeles on Sunday night (08OCT06), before announcing they will be camp counselors in the next Simple Life.

The show's executive producer Jon Murray says, "The thing the viewers love is the two girls together. America, Paris and Nicole are going to camp.

"(The show will deal with) what led to the breakdown in the friendship and maybe some of the misunderstandings and things that got in the way."
