Sara Evans' Stage Experience Carried Her Through Dancing With the Stars  10/19/06

Country singer Sara Evans credits her vast stage experience with helping her to perform on a US reality TV show just moments after being told her husband had cheated on her.

Evans filed for divorce from Craig Schelske last week (ends15OCT06) and announced her shock departure from Dancing With the Stars.

She learned of Schelske's alleged infidelity hours before the 11 October show but insisted on performing with her dance partner despite her heartbreak.

She says, "It's a blur. The good thing is that I'm so used to performing, as you know, that as an entertainer, we just have the ability to just try to flip the switch, turn it on, do the dance and make it through the day."

In her divorce suit, Evans, 35, alleges Schelske, 43, committed adultery with their children's nanny, was verbally and emotionally abusive, drank excessively and frequently watched pornography in their home. Schelske denies all the allegations.
