Hollywood party girl Tara Reid insists turning 30 has awakened her maternal instincts and she's now desperate to have kids.

The American Pie star, who celebrates her 31st birthday next month (08NOV06), admits she was terrified about leaving her twenties behind but is surprised nothing much has changed.

However, she admits the landmark age did get her dwelling on her biological clock and she's in a rush to settle down and have babies.

She says, "I thought it'd be scary, but it really doesn't feel any different.

"I think about kids a lot more. I really want kids."
