Natalie Portman to Play Tobey MaGuire's Wife  10/8/07 

 

Natalie Portman has signed on to play Tobey MaGuire's young wife in a remake of hit Danish film Brothers.

Maguire will play a soldier sent to fight in Afghanistan, while his brother, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, looks after his wife and child back home.

Gladiator star Connie Nielsen portrayed the wife in Susanne Bier's 2004 film.
