British TV talent show winner Leona Lewis fears she may ruin the careers
of her former idols Take That and the Backstreet Boys when she goes head
to head with both groups in the U.K. charts this week (begs22Oct07).
The X Factor singer releases her new single Bleeding Love at the same
time as Take That's Rule The World, and will also face competition from
the Backstreet Boys who return with Inconsolable, their first single as a
four-piece since the departure of Kevin Richardson last year (06).
But The 22-year-old star admits she will feel guilty if she reaches the
top of the chart as it may ruin the careers of two bands she followed when
she was younger.
She says, "I can't believe we are going head to head in the
charts. I'm excited and nervous but I do hope I win.
"I grew up with Take That on everything I owned - pencil cases,
clothes. I was an even bigger Backstreet Boys fan - it's crazy!"
