Reese Witherspoon has been spotted getting close and cuddly to Rendition co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, just days after laughing off reports the pair are dating.

The couple, who became close during filming of their new movie, were photographed walking hand-in-hand and getting affectionate on the streets of Rome.

And though Witherspoon - newly divorced from Ryan Phillippe - insists their relationship is purely platonic, her latest weekend break in the Italian capital seems to proves otherwise.
