Kylie Minogue Named Penguin Ambassador 10/28/07
Pop star Kylie Minogue has been named an ambassador for penguins in her
native Australian.
The singer has been recruited to support the birds at Phillip Island Nature Park, a wildlife haven in the southern state of Victoria. She says, "One of my fondest memories is our family's trips to Phillip Island. It was our regular holiday destination and we always visited the penguins. "I'm thrilled the area and welfare of the little penguins has been preserved, and I hope they will find a place in the hearts of the many tourists who visit each year."
